Description
CNC’d 6061 solid billet-aluminum handguard for the Henry Lever Gun rifles. This handguard features 4 customizable insert panels. You will receive 2 textured M-Lok panels, and 2 textured solid panels. This is absolutely the strongest, heaviest-duty, most modular handguard in production.
What’s Included: You will receive an awesome handguard forged by the same beings that forged Thor’s Hammer. The Hoptic Bullet Quivers (and pictured Modlite) are NOT INCLUDED.
Fitment: This handguard should be an easy swap for any of the Heny Model X series of rifles, and most others. If it doesn’t fit, send it back. Written installation instructions are included. It’s a fairly simple swap once you get the stock handguard off. Installation should only take just a few minutes, using simple hex bit tools. Due to the hand-finishing of the Marlin’s receiver, some custom-fitting may be required.
We are not gunsmiths, and if you aren’t comfortable working on your own gun, take it to a certified gunsmith, or send it to someone like Steve at Mad Pig Customs.
Known Potential Fitment Issues: Will NOT FIT on BARREL BAND guns. There may be some fitting issues with the SPD Hush series, where the magazine and barrel clamp is.
Shipping: Orders are shipped in the order they were placed.

Great shipping time with tracking.
Great fitment and easy instal.
Definitely way more rigid than the plastic guard, feels great in the hand.
The weight is nice for the 45-70 helps with recoil.
10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic fit and finish on this handguard. Good instructions for install, mine mounted up flawlessly, and improved the feel of my rifle. Will buy again for my next build.

Fit and finish are top notch and they answered every question. Also it was such a great experience I bought the Henry stock a week later . I would add a picture but don’t think it’s allowed

ROCK SOLID fit and finish. The pictures online don’t do it justice. Chisel Machining has a customer for life, I’ll be fitting all my future Henry rifles with their furniture.
Also, I’m curious to see what they plan to mount on the top portion of the handguard.
Hmmm 🧐 🤔

I got both, sholder stock & their handguard on my Henry 45-70 & 30-30!!! Had to get my Henry 30-30 rifle modified a little bit, due to the middle brass ring, on the original handguard, the rifle came with. Then the gun smith made it compatible lol. Wish I could post a picture of them but even then, picture won’t do it no justice, to how sweet the Chisel products are & look.

Solid built, great fit and finish! Need to make some mods to fit on .410 AXE model X.

Did some research for my first lever, and ended up liking Chisel setup better than any other. I went all in and got everything available for the Henry Big boy 45-70. Come to find out, The company is a 10 minute drive from my house ! not only do I get, in my opinion, the best setup on the market, but I am supporting local business. I am very satisfied with the sturdiness, functionality, but it looks badass! I have had many people at the range ask to check out the setup, always an eyecatcher.

After my research, I decided on a “HAHG” for my Henry 410 Axe (45-70 Receiver). I was impressed with the speed with which Customer Service responded to my inquiry on a weekend/holiday (within minutes). I placed my order and received my hand guard quickly after. It was packaged perfectly to survive shipping to Interior Alaska. This past weekend (1.5 months later), I finally got around to installing the hand guard onto my Axe and had a question on fitment. In my instance, the magazine tube band at the end of the tube/barrel was contacting the narrowed neck of the hand guard. I contacted customer support (yes, on the weekend again!) and immediately received a response. I ultimately added a slightly larger radius to the hand guard where it was contacting the steel band on the Axe (Ingersoll Rand 360-418 Air Belt Sander; I just stuck the nose in and added a small amount of radius to clear the obstruction).
To remove the OE (plastic) hand guard, I removed the two screws on the sides/center of the hand guard. I clamped the hand guard (not at the center/supported area) in my foam pads in my vice and ‘bopped’ the Axe rearward with my palm a couple of times. I then laid the barrel on a small block of wood and used a brass punch (Delrin would likely be better). I placed a folded-up piece of blue painter’s tape between the band/wedge and the punch. One single/firm wrap with a plastic hammer and the band/wedge at the magazine end slid out towards the ejection port side. I then removed the plastic hand grip and installed the Chisel HAHG hand grip. I doubt it was needed, but I opted to add a couple of drops of red Loctite to the center alignment ‘wedge,’ but between the barrel and the wedge, NOT the threads. As others have mentioned, the HAHG is VERY firm and feels locked in. There is not the slightest hit of wiggle/flex. I have no regrets about the purchase of this foregrip/hand guard.
Because of the speed of Chisel’s responses, overall customer support, and product quality, if I get a Henry X 357, I’ll be back for more goodies! I would have no hesitation in recommending Chisel, and I wish other manufacturers put the level of support, quality, and care into their products that Chisel does.
Thank you, Chisel!
